Windsor CT Volunteer Ambulance provides life saving CPR, Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and First Aid training, and refresher classes for Healthcare Professionals and non-healthcare affiliated individuals as well as important EMT and EMR Refresher courses .
The American Heart Association BLS (CPR/AED) for Healthcare Providers course is for healthcare professionals such as doctors, nurses, paramedics and EMT’s. This course covers CPR and use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for adults, children, and infants.
Designed for non-healthcare professionals this American Heart Association course teaches CPR for adults, children and infants and the proper use of an AED. Learn how to recognize a victim in cardiac arrest and perform lifesaving techniques until professional help arrives.
This 5 week course prepares students to respond to all types of medical emergencies. Upon successful completion of the course students will have a solid foundation and understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, and medical technology.
EMT / EMR Refresher
Students must achieve a score of at least 70% to successful complete this course. Students are required to attend the course in it’s entirety with the exception of any student who produces proof of a valid Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
