The American Heart Association course for non-healthcare professionals teaches CPR for adults, children and infants and includes the use of the automated external defibrillator (AED). Participants will learn how to recognize a victim in cardiac arrest and perform lifesaving techniques until professional help arrives. This course is designed for non-healthcare professionals who have an obligation to provide care while at work such as babysitters, life guards, and other providers who have a duty to act while at work; or for the individual who wants to be prepared to treat a victim a of cardiac arrest.
The American Heart Association BLS (CPR/AED) for Healthcare Providers course is for healthcare professionals such as doctors, nurses, paramedics and EMT’s. This course covers CPR and use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for adults, children, and infants. This is a 2 year certification and is required for most people that work in the healthcare field and for students enrolled in medical programs.
